Entering a Dungeon

This guide walks you through starting a new trading session.

Prerequisites

Before entering a dungeon, ensure you have:

Your account needs valid API credentials with trading permissions


Select a strategy from the Weapons page


Enough funds in your exchange account for trading

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Navigate to Dungeons

Click DUNGEONS in the sidebar to access the dungeons page.

2. Click Enter Dungeon

If no dungeon is active, you'll see the dungeon configuration screen.

3. Configure Settings

Stake Amount

Set how much to trade per position:

Recommended: Start with 1-2% of your total portfolio
Example: If you have 1000 USDT, use 10-20 USDT per trade

Max Open Trades

Set the maximum concurrent positions:

Setting	Risk Level	Use Case
1-2	Conservative	Testing, low risk
3-5	Moderate	Balanced approach
5+	Aggressive	Experienced traders

Timeframe

Select the candle timeframe:

High frequency, many trades, requires fast execution


Balanced, moderate trade frequency


Slower, fewer but potentially larger moves

Trading Pairs

Select which pairs to trade. Options include:

• BTC/USDT
• ETH/USDT
• Other available pairs

Start with BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT. They have the highest liquidity and lowest slippage.

Max Duration (Hours)

Set how long the dungeon should run:

• Short (1-4 hours): Quick test sessions
• Medium (4-24 hours): Day trading
• Long (24+ hours): Extended sessions

4. Review Settings

Double-check your configuration:

• Correct weapon equipped?
• Stake amount appropriate?
• Trading pairs selected?
• Duration set?

5. Start the Dungeon

Click START to begin trading.

The bot will:

1. Initialize Freqtrade with your settings
2. Connect to your exchange
3. Begin market analysis
4. Execute trades when signals appear

DRY RUN vs LIVE

DRY RUN accounts simulate trades without using real funds. The bot executes paper trades using real market data.

LIVE accounts execute real trades with real money. Only use LIVE mode after thoroughly testing your strategy.

Common Issues

"Weapon not equipped"

You need to equip a weapon before entering:

1. Go to WEAPONS
2. Select a strategy
3. Click EQUIP
4. Return to dungeons

"Invalid API credentials"

Your exchange API may be invalid or expired:

1. Go to Account settings
2. Update your API credentials
3. Ensure trading permissions are enabled

"Insufficient balance"

Your exchange account needs funds:

1. Deposit funds to your exchange
2. Ensure funds are in the spot wallet (not futures)
3. For DRY RUN, this shouldn't occur

What Happens Next

After starting:

1. Bot Initializes: Takes 10-30 seconds
2. Market Analysis: Bot scans selected pairs
3. Trade Execution: Bot enters trades when signals appear
4. Continuous Monitoring: Bot manages positions until exit
